H A W A I I - Day 6 & 7

PEARL DIGGIN'

Wes thought I needed a pearl necklace as a momento from our trip
(isn't he sweet?...I'm a lucky girl)
So I got to choose from gorgeous pearls just the one I wanted and I even got to pick earrings to match...he really spoiled me.

So Samuel got to choose and oyster from a bucket and then we got to keep the pearl.

Here is the three of us just before she opened up our oyster to reveal our pearl.

She cut that thing open in nothing flat...I guess she has had a lot of practice.

The oyster Samuel picked had a gray pearl, which she said were not very common...way to go son! We had that pearl made into a necklace too, just so I could wear the pearl my son picked for me ;)

The Luau
Our Last Night

Check out my new pearl necklace :)
(thanks honey!)

Cookie & Me
John (Cookie's husband) and his silly shark hat, he is quite the character.

Hula Dancers

The fire dancer was very entertaining.

OUR LAST DAY IN O'AHU

On our last day we decided to rent a car and drive around the island since we spent most of the week hanging around the resort.
Wes chose a Mustang convertible, it was fun.
Does our car look like tourists??
We had to buckle in Samuel's suitcase because all our luggage wouldn't fit in the trunk. We got a giggle out of our backseat loaded with Samuel, suitcase, stroller and whatever else was left over.

Here is our sleeping boy...don't worry he has sunscreen on!
Me and 'my honey' along the beach somewhere on O'ahu.

These shots are just pictures taken from the car as we drove along enjoying the scenery. The island was so beautiful as we drove the coastline almost the entire time; God's beauty is amazing.

My handsome and accommodating chauffeur.

ONE LAST STOP AT THE BEACH

Our little wave runner.
Actually he really didn't care for the ocean unless he was holding onto his daddy...always safe in daddy's arms.
He just needed some water for his sand creation, so he braved the waves and actually came back without the watering can, go figure.

I think this is (was) probably a mission of some kind, it was really pretty.

gotta have my hands in the sand!

Our Last Photo in Hawaii.

The trip was wonderful and we made so many great memories.

I am so blessed to have such an amazing husband and sweet son;

God is good!

H A W A I I - Day 5

DAY 5

Waking up to this was wonderful.

The view towards the city of Honolulu.

those tiny specs are surfers at 5 am, Wes was trying to get their picture.

Look REALLY Close!

More waterfalls around the hotel.

Nap time...this could be my favorite time of day, well okay it is a toss up between meal time. ;0

BEACH FUN FOR US

Three Little Crabs in the Sand, made by my creative husband.

Fill 'er up!

Headed to get some water for our sand castle.

A quick smile for daddy.

Playing with my boy, he is so sweet...oh I love him so!

Good thing the photo stops here, the bottom half is scary....hahaha!

Samuel and Daddy playing in the sand.
Samuel has no idea what daddy has planned for him.
"Come here son and sit in this hole."

Daddy is having fun.

Almost done, now it is hard to decide who is having more fun.

All the way up to his chin. He looks like a little volcano.

Out he goes...

...hooray, that was exciting!

Footprints of my little monkey.

I wanted to get Samuel's footprints in the sand but he wasn't really cooperating so we tricked him. We told him that he was going to race daddy, and then no problem.

off they go, the race is on

it makes me giggle, Samuel doesn't run in a straight line.

down the beach, it was so cute to watch them. It melts my heart I have a super husband who loves being a daddy and loves his son with his whole heart.

you win!!

more sand time

A quick stop to explore in the sand.

more running

He has a goal spot in mind...

...right back to his toys!

The pier at our hotel.

Some Chinese boats just off the pier at our hotel. I am not really sure what they used them for, don't know that I would want to be out in the waves on them, but they were neat looking.

Little Jumper

"Go way o'der there daddy"

Samuel took a quick swim before the fireworks show started.

1...2...3...jump!

Back to the wall and do it all over again.

Good thing daddy has such big strong muscles!

FIREWORKS SHOW AT THE HILTON

Every Friday night the Hilton does a fireworks show on the beach. My pictures aren't very good because I was trying to hurry to my camera... I missed half the show because I was waiting in line for the restroom when the show started...hey when you gotta go, you just gotta go!

Samuel thought they were too loud and wanted me to make them 'softer'.

We really were having a good time. But how can you not when you are in a beautiful place with people you love and you can do whatever you want, whenever you want....ahh Hawaii!
