Hmmmm, Samuel oh where do I start?? He is unique in himself, I am quite certain there isn't another like him on the planet. He is a mama's boy to the core {sigh}, loves roughin' it up with daddy, has a "love - torment" relationship with his sister and almost every day is a new super hero. All I can say is I LOVE this little boy!!
He has been most of what consumes me since he was born and after he got sick it became my mommy mission to see that every need is met so I know he is okay. The Lord is gently showing me day by day that it is really Him who is meeting those needs and I am but a tool in the situation. We have modified life to meet the daily demands of his diabetes, but he truly is a super hero in the whole thing. He doesn't find it strange when we check his levels or give him insulin, even with people staring or little ones asking questions; usually it is "does that hurt?"... we wouldn't want it any other way. To us he is just as "normal" as the next kid; snuggling with his mama, playing on the playground or throwing a fit because he didn't get his way. He has a curious personality that has to figure everything out, wants to know how it works or why something is the way that it is. He is a blessing and I look forward to what God has planned for his life.
