7 months...just flies by!

Well my little girl is 7 months...how can that be??

I was able to snap a few shots this morning and I think they turned out really cute. I haven't got to 'edit' them, but honestly if I wait for that you would never see them...which is exactly why there are months of our lives missing since Lydia was born. :)

This is a cradle my grandma gave me when I was younger and my mom actually used it as my Easter basket this year full of planters and flowers and other great goodies. (thanks mom)

The beautiful throw was made by Wes' grandparents, a little project that got thrown their way (sorry I really dropped the ball on it), but they did awesome and doesn't it look amazing!?! I love the colors!!

My sweet little lady bug has so much personality and is just smiling and content 90+ percent of the time, she has her moments; I won't make her sound like an angel, but she is pretty darn sweet!!

Here is evidence of her 'movement'....yep she is on the move!!
She moves like a seal or an inch worm, very cute. She uses her entire body, even those tiny little toes.

What member of the Bauer family doesn't have their pictures with a NY Yankee hat??
I guess I am going to need to find a girly one though...this won't be her last.

Samuel even cooperated for a few minutes so I could get him in a picture, but I really mean a few minutes....or seconds!

This is one of my favorites. I think it says...
"hey brother, zip it, I've heard enough".

Lydia's Shiner

Yes, that's right Lydia got her first (and hopefully her last) shiner...your first assumption might be that big brother Samuel had something to do with it, but nope, not this time, it was mommy. :(

It was horrible, she was screaming and I was trying not to cry in front of Samuel who was "helping" to calm her down.  Here are the pictures(I took a few shots of the healing process).

DAY 7...lookin' good!

okay, so you are probably very curious to what happened.....
I was leaving for Bible Study and asked Wes to put her in her carseat while I unloaded the back of my car. He did and set her in the hallway by the door so I could put her in when I was ready to go. I came in the door with a large tote and other stuff stacked on top of it, didn't see Lydia on the floor in her carseat and tripped over her. I hit the floor and had no idea what had happened . I heard her start to cry and frantically turned to look for her, she was sideways in her carseat and my foot was caught in the canopy. Needless to say I quickly (lightening fast) unbuckled her and cradled her in my arms, then discovered her eye was cut (from the heel of my boot) and she was so so so so sad. It took awhile to calm her down. Wes got mad at me and couldn't figure out how I tripped over the baby he set in the doorway. She thankfully had no other injuries; I was worried about her vision or eye injury or broken nose. It healed rather quickly and I am just praying there isn't a scar. Very sad to have to tell everyone on Mother's Day (of all days) that you gave your sweet little baby a shiner.
